St. Luke's Hospital Visitors Policy

All visitors are welcome to St. Luke's Hospital. The hospital encourages visiting while maintaining the health and safety of the patient at all times.

1. Please wash your hands on entering and leaving the hospital.
2. If you or a member of your family has felt unwell in the past week please contact the nurse in charge of the ward /unit prior to visiting.
3. Please note any special precautionary notices and adhere to instructions. If you have any concerns, please contact the nursing staff.
4. Please allow patients privacy at mealtimes.
5. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
6. Respect other patient’s privacy and confidentiality.
7. In order to facilitate optimum best practice of care to our patients please adhere to instructions of staff.
8. The Nurse in Charge of the ward/unit has absolute discretion on matters relating to visitors. A copy of the HSE Policy document on visiting hospitals is available from the Nurse in Charge for your information, if required.
