Radiotherapy Welcome Evenings
About the Radiotherapy Welcome EveningsThe welcome evenings are run on a volunteer basis where you will be given the opportunity to meet with radiation therapists that will be giving you your daily treatment and also to meet with one of the radiotherapy nurses that works in the nurses’ station in the radiotherapy department. A short introductory talk explaining what radiotherapy is, when and how it is used will be given. You will then be taken on a tour of the radiotherapy department, including treatment machines. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding your radiotherapy treatment at any stage throughout the tour. Tea and Coffee is provided afterwards where you can ask questions on a one to one basis if you wish. Who can attend?Information evenings are open to all patients (including family members and friends) who have yet to start their radiotherapy treatment as well as for those who have already started. Where?St. Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar – meet in the main reception area (just inside the front door) When?The 3rd Monday of every month at 7.00 pm. If you would like to come along |
