Physiotherapy
The Chartered Physiotherapists at St. Luke's Hospital are experienced in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of physical problems that patients may have as a result of their cancer or its treatment. They are all senior physiotherapists who have chosen to specialize in working with people with cancer. The aim of the physiotherapist working in oncology is to maximize a person's physical ability, function and independence and to improve their sense of well-being. Patients are seen on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Hours of opening:The Department of Physiotherapy is opened from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. It is closed at weekends and on Bank Holidays. An answering machine service operates when staff are out of the main office and outside of working hours. Please clearly leave your name, a contact phone number and a message on the answering machine. LOCATION OF DEPARTMENT:The Department of Physiotherapy is located on the ground floor of the hospital. As you enter the main hospital entrance the main reception desk is directly ahead of you. Walk to the left of it and continue along this corridor. Take the first right past the Highfield Café and the Physiotherapy Department is signposted on the left about 20m along this corridor. There is a seated waiting area in front of the department. |
