BREAST CANCER CERTIFICATE COURSE

An Bord Altranais Approved, Category 1

This course is aimed at qualified nurses who are involved in the care of patients with breast cancer or interested in pursuing a career in this field. This programme is designed to provide the nurse with knowledge of breast cancer and the patient journey. The various treatment modalities to include surgery, radiotherapy chemotherapy and hormone therapy will be addressed. The course addresses psychological issues experienced by breast cancer patients, supportive care for breast cancer patients and a palliative care component.

The course runs for 1 week.

RADIATION ONCOLOGY NURSING CERTIFICATE COURSE

An Bord Altranais Approved, Category 1

This course runs twice a year - usually February & September

This course has been designed to provide the Registered Nurse with a comprehensive understanding of the nursing assessment/interventions/evaluations and implications associated with caring for the patient undergoing radiotherapy. This course will be held on consecutive Fridays - 5 days total.
