How to access Phlebotomy Department Services

The Phlebotomy Department of the Pathology Laboratory is where Patient's bloods are taken. It is not necessary to make an appointment for Blood Tests, just come along and take a seat.

Location

The Phlebotomy room is located at the back of the Out-Patients Department, which is to the left of the reception desk at the front entrance of the Hospital.

Opening Hours

The Phlebotomy Department is open at the following times:

  • 9am to 4.50pm Monday to Thursday
  • 9am to 2pm Fridays

If you are sent to the Phlebotomy Department from another department within the hospital and you arrive after the above opening times and the door is closed, its best to go back to the hospital department from which you were sent, from where a doctor will be contacted to take your blood.

If you have just arrived at the hospital as an Out-Patient and Phlebotomy is closed, return to reception where alternative arrangements can be made.
